Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry ice is made of frozen carbon dioxide gas, not frozen water (H2O), as regular ice is. It sublimates straight from a solid to a gas at room temperature, which is why it is dubbed "dry ice" instead of melting into a liquid.
Carbon dioxide gas is compressed and cooled to a temperature below its sublimation point, roughly -78.5 degrees Celsius (-109.3 degrees Fahrenheit), in order to create dry ice. Dry ice is formed when carbon dioxide, which is a gas, immediately becomes a solid at this temperature.
Dry ice is commonly used for various purposes, such as:
1. Freezing and cooling: Perishable goods, such food or medical supplies, are frequently kept chilled during transit by using dry ice. Additionally, biological samples are transported and preserved in labs using it.
2. Special effects: In the entertainment industry, dry ice is utilized to generate smoke or fog effects because of its special qualities. Dry ice sublimates—a thick, low-lying fog—when it comes into contact with warmer air.
3. Cleaning: A technique called "dry ice blasting" uses small, rapidly-propelled dry ice pellets to thoroughly clean surfaces. During this technique, dry ice is rapidly sublimated, which helps eliminate pollutants without leaving any residue.
4. Experiments and demonstrations: Because of its extreme cold and fascinating sublimation process, dry ice is frequently utilized in scientific experiments and classroom demonstrations.
Dry ice should be handled carefully since its extremely low temperature might result in frostbite and skin damage. Furthermore, it can develop pressure while sublimating in a closed container, so adequate ventilation is required to reduce the possibility of a container burst.

To prevent the damage that contaminants do to products, we offer methods for removing various types of contamination from production machinery and returning it to working order.
Dry ice Clean Blast is a reformative cleaning process that employs dry ice. Because it evaporates instantly, it does not leave collateral contamination from the blast material, as conventional cleaning machines do.
